Slat-style headboard made from many beautiful hardwoods including Purple Heart, Walnut, Padauk, Maple, Oak and Cherry

A wonderful friend brought me a photo with an idea and allowed me to build this beautiful set of walnut hexagons for a centerpiece in one of her rooms.
Letter Trays
A kind customer that had purchased one of my desktop bookshelves came back to me with a request for a special letter tray for his office. The top two photos show my practice run made of maple, spell and cherry and the bottom two are the final product for him made of walnut and padauk with beautiful and elegant brass feet added.
Desktop/Laptop Stand
Still working from home? Me too. This laptop stand has been a game changer getting my laptop elevated just enough to make video calls more comfortable. The left laptop stand is made of Red Oak and the one on the right is made of Walnut.
Workbench/Desk
This Maple desk features a Sapele inlay in the aprons on 3 sides and has a checkered look to the top with Sapele pieces interspersed among both soft and hard maple pieces.

Cutting Board Table
This was a custom order request by one of my neighbors who was getting into sewing. She was taller and wanted a table she could stand at that wouldn’t hurt her back when cutting fabric.
Business Card Holders
These business card holders started out as an idea to use some scraps to hold my business cards at artist markets. They turned out to be popular and I even did a custom order of 300 with a branded logo on them.
Outdoor Storage Box
This was a fun build but again, painted furniture is not my joy. ** I had to later redo the lid since some of the wood I used shifted during the summer season and cracked the paint seal. I redid the top now with solid plyboard, sealed and painted.
Shadow Box
Congrats to my brother Mills Babb for completing his first IronMan in 2019! I built this Sapele shadowbox for him to show off his memorabilia. Now we just have to get our mom to arrange the stuff inside a little better 🙂
The base of this toy storage was made complete with scrap pine leftover from room dividers I had a made a couple years ago. The top is stained poplar.
Sewing Table
This was my first custom order from one of my neighbors who was getting into sewing and was willing to “trust the process”. This table was designed to hold her sewing machine flat with the rest of the table.
This is what I like to make when I have some scrap pieces and a little bit of extra time. These have been a hit with the kids for car rides and even did an order for a local hangout.
